Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress, best recognized for her roles in films for the movie Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress as well as a producer. She has a long-standing involvement in television and theater. She started her career in the theater before appearing in numerous television shows and in mainstream and independent film. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she won praise from critics but also a number of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. In 1995 she appeared in her first performance with The Tempest as Ariel. Her credits on stage include the Broadway performance of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is best known for her appearances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. In the world of television, her role on ABC's drama series about police High Incident has earned her accolades.
